If your married is genuine don't worryHi guys just want to know how will a big age difference affect my application
Wow well my husband is way older than me but we include a lot of evidence to show that the relationship is genuine he sent me lot of stuff through custom I included those receipt in the package all the FedEx receipt of gift he sent me all the western union papers and also screenshot of Facebook tags etc I hope all those will helpIt depends. When the woman is older than the man, this causes more concern than the reverse situation. In some countries, they would not care at all in either case; in others even a small age difference of 5 years, if it is the wife who is older, might be one of the reasons for the refusal. It would never be the only reason, so include lots of evidence that your relationship is genuine to counteract the age difference.
Checking in with people from the same visa office is a good idea, since some of them will have direct experience with the people you will be dealing with.
Thank youNo no some countries they frown upon big age gaps. Even if you have great proof. A vo can easily refuse.
You need.to go to the Jamaican thread on here and repost your question or read back a number of posts to gain a better insight of your country's visa office.
If you had an age gap and you were American. Not a big problem with good proof. If your from Morocco like my husband. He was refused because I'm 18 yrs older. We had great proof. Been there 5 times at time.of interview. Stayed 6 months, 3 months, month and half at least each time. She already had mind made up. How many times has your spouse visited? How long? Have you talked about age? All this they want to know.
Btw we appealed and won.
No one from my husband side his mom is deceased he only have two sister but they live in separate countries and was unable to make it to the wedding but they aren't even close they don't really talk but we mention that in the application and I also get my JP/NP to hand write a letter stating that he is aware of the wedding and he was also thereWelcome,
Were members of both families at your wedding? This is also a big concern for some countries.
