my agent told me to take insurance of 16000 RS ? i dont understand what type insurance he talking about?
so that he can make some extra commission from that insurance sale. Hard to understand why we Indians fall for agents so easily!bvpatel257 said:my agent told me to take insurance of 16000 RS ? i dont understand what type insurance he talking about?

I am sure you can get insurance after going to canada, your college/university should offer insurance at cheap prices. Mine does!
rohit53 said:I don't we have insurance as part of our tuition fees. Its just mentioned in the document from your college/university where the show the expenses for one year of your stay in Canada.
jay031 said:You already have insurance as part of your tuition fees. It's not possible to have SP issued with insurance being part of academic fees.
Eh? Please be sure of what you are saying!jay031 said:I have paid (and paying for the next 4 semester) 445 dollar/semester base. Once again, insurance is a part of your fees (not tuition fees). You pay tuition fees, insurance, program fee, etc etc.
Yes, I know I did a mistake that's why I mentioned the same in "brackets". Once again health insurance is a mandatory part of "overall fees" (not tuition fees as I wrongly mentioned in the above post).rohit53 said:Eh? Please be sure of what you are saying!
I think he is talking about travel insurance. Its not that beneficial if you are being covered by a health insurance plan from your university upon arrival. Don't go for travel insurance now. Its not worth the money spent as you would just be insured while you are flying.bvpatel257 said:my agent told me to take insurance of 16000 RS ? i dont understand what type insurance he talking about?
Travel insurance won't be that costly!sue_in said:I think he is talking about travel insurance. May be it's beneficial, but I think it should not be important from visa point of view. Based on personal experience, I would highly recommend to carry some general medicine for 3 to 4 months (I did the same), it's very costly in Canada. Your are being covered under health insurance only upon the registration at school, not upon arrival.sue_in said:I think he is talking about travel insurance.
