After sending passport, how long does CIC take to stamp the PR visa?

Hello everyone,

Wanted to update my status for Passport

PPR received on 28th September
Passport sent on 29th September
Passport delivered on 03rd October as per Canada post tracker
Picked up and sent to printing room on 06th October as per CIC agent
Passport stamped on 19th October as per CIC agent
CIC account updated 23rd October
Return tracker activated 24th October
Expected delivery 25th / 26th October

Hi Riyas,

I am wondering what was showing on your account when your CIC account updated on 23rd October? Because I got an email said my CIC account got updated, but I did not see anything after I signed in my account.

I got passports yesterday and did landing at Queenston-Lewiston bridge. The process at Queenston took us 10 minutes. There were none when we went there. We initially tried Rainbow bridge, but were told the "daily quota" at that bridge is done. The agent was very nice and said I could give the Queenston bridge a try before heading back. She also mentioned to try Kingston (or other non-southern Ontario bridges) as they do process landings without any restrictions on days / times.

Hi,

I received PPR email yesterday. Today I checked my MyCIC account and realized that the info (application status, review of eligibility, medicals, etc etc) was no more there. Is it normal?

Can you guys help me?

Now I checked my MyCIC account once again and all the info that disappeared before is there again. The only issue is that my background still shows "in progress". Nothing changed as like before the PPR email. Is that normal?
Any help?

Congrats! I called IRCC Call Centre to Book Landing appoitment at local IRCC office and they said the revert time is 3 weeks. So I'm considering to do landing at Border. Few questions :

1. You do not need a US visa to do landing at a land crossing. When you cross over to US, tell the US border agent that you are there for Canada PR. He would then ask you to follow another officer. The other officer will instruct you to remain in your vehicle and a third officer gives you a "Flag Pole" document (just a piece of paper with your PP details). Follow the officer's instructions and come back to Canada and at the Canadian border, tell the CBSA agent that you are there for landing. Agent will guide to you a building adjacent to the gates for processing.
2. Along with PP & COPR, I carried some other documents - like our employment letters, bank statements, marriage certificate, birth certificate of my son, WES & IELTS. But those were not necessary. The agent did not ask for anything.

And, if you are planning to bring your belongings to the country at a later date, make sure you mention that to the officer and fill up a form (BSF186), get it certified. This will help in avoiding duties when you bring them in.

If you are planning to do landing at border around Toronto, try Kingston bridge. All the best.

The status of my PR application just changed to 'Approved' in my CIC account. Now I'm just waiting for my tracker to get activated, hopefully in the next few days.

Note - Passport received at the Ottawa office on October 10.

Congrats, My passport was received on Oct 13, Then I expect mine will be processed soon

Their timelines for processing the passport ranges from 2 to 9 weeks, so I guess you are still within that range.

Ok. But on mycic account It was approved on the 17th of October with the counterfoil number.

What could be the possible cause why some people get their passport earlier than others. I'm not happy that almost a month I can even get pickup mail after counterfoil has been there on mycic account for over 2weeks now.
