After sending passport, how long does CIC take to stamp the PR visa?

Hi guys
I got PPR on 24th of August and submitted passport on 4th September to Ottawa

But I am still waiting for COPR and visa.
I emailed cic and they told me to wait till 31st of October.

The wait for visa and COPR can be from 2-9 weeks or so I heard.

Is this length of time normal? I am starting to get slightly anxious

yes it takes 2-9 weeks . but i personally never seen any one waiting 9 weeks by reading forum i came to this conclusion.,
In my experience i have seen ppl getting passport in 2 weeks some it 6th week.

Is there anyway of being assured of when I can have it back?
My spouse applied one week later and received passport with COPR three weeks later in VFS outland

You are already on 6th week, my guess either it could be today or next week.
But at the end we cannot do anything about this until we get to hear back from CIC.

I sent my Passport on 2nd October and it reached Ottawa-PR Center on 4th October. There's no update either on my CIC account or on the Canada Post Tracker yet.
When can I realistically expect the Passport to be back?

I'd guess around 4th - 8th November. My timeline for passport was:

13th Sept - PPR
18th Sept - Passport reached Ottawa
16th October - CIC account has changed for application approved
17th October - Canada post tracker was activated
18th October - Passport has returned

I have been noticing that people has sent their passport to ottawa. However, in my case it has been submitted in Abu Dhabi office. I am living in Jeddah and passport is submitted in Abu Dhabi office. is there any one else whose passport is sent to Abu Dhabi office. Please let me know if you have received any response from them. My passport was received by them on 20 Sep and still there is no response.

Also, if any one can help me how to check the tracker.

Hey, my husband came to Canada with a visitor visa on October 12th ( application is outland). Paris visa office told us to send his passport to Ottawa as soon as he gets to Canada. So we sent it on October 15th.
The problem is they said his visa expires on October 29 (with his medicals).
So if we don't receive his passport back by the end of this week what's gonna happen??

My CIC account has changed to application approved Today Keeping fingers crossed for the Canada Post Tracker to activate now!

When did your Tracker activate ? My status on CIC changed to Approved Yesterday, but Tracker didn't activate yet!
