hi i think many of us have plan to move province after PR

question is : can it effect on our citizenship application

anyone have any gov link where it says what is the actual rule

i talked with a lawyer he said in his 20 years experience he didn't found a single case due to moving citizenship application got effected

thanks

No. Move wherever you want after landed.

Anyone gained PR by Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) may reside anywhere they want in Canada, not only the nominated province. Any restriction to residency is unconstitutional. Charter of Rights and Freedoms Sec 6.2

hello, thank you
Is this still accurate? and true? I got a PR as an ontario PNP - Express Entry and would like to live in Montreal (Quebec) as my wife will have better chances to work (She is French and does not speak English)?
How can I do that? What are the documents that I have to request or send and where to? Do I have to get a Certificat from Quebec Province? please confirm how to proceed and also if there are any impacts in the future for the renew or citizenship knowing that there was a document signed which is an agreement to stay in Ontario during Express Entry steps before getting PR.
Thank you very much

If you are inland applicant , it is not mandatory to stay in same province for at least 2 years , else you have too . I have heard ppl got refused in citinzanship due to that

Are you sure? I'm already a PR and I don't want to stay in the province that nominated me for the reasons I explained above.

The link shared by Ashuindian VP Member is saying the opposite and that I can move without any issue and it is only a moral obligation before you become a PR.

I am inland pr applicant too , and we haven’t signed or filled any form that says we will reside in same province after Pr for at least 2 years. You can mail directly to Province or call them and ask if it is mandatory or not ?

I second with others. There isnt such a 2 year or other mandatory period for stay in nominating province. Its hard to trace who made this up. Here's my 2 cents on this subject and it would reverberate with what others may have already said.

Its all about your "Intent". You should have seen signed off on some formal document from province indicating your again "intent" to live and contribute to the provincial economy. I stress the word intent because as long as your intent has always been clear about making attempt to settle in that province, you have fulfilled the moral responsibility towards it. Thats for your own conscience and that is what they question at your first entry. Yes, you always land in your nominating province or else they can revoke your PR on the ground of misrepresentation. Once you get PR you are protected constitutionally to move anywhere. There arent any conditions on PR and noone can unless its explicitly embedded in law. Having said that, once you receive your PR, moving to other province for better opportunities would not affect anything. The first thing you should do is visit your nominating province and stay there and apply for ton of jobs (document everything right from your positions to outcomes of job hunt ) you qualify for and such at least for few months (~2-3) and by then you would either get a job or you wouldnt at the end of it. Even the PR card should take 45 days - 60 days so why not stick to your province and wait on your PR card to arrive while applying for jobs. At the end of 2-3 months period, you get your PR card in hand, if you dont manage to get a decent job, thats your one big reason to settle some place else. Noone at least in their sound mind would ever question your intent why you chose to take up job somewhere else and rather not stay unemployed ... Its justified, right? You now can prove even if such a law comes in effect. Finally, PR is a PR is a PR. It comes with conditions only under certain circumstances and PNP isnt one of it.

Hope this helps.
