I would think that you won't be getting an interview then. They wouldn't request it to be redone if they were giving an interview

Yes! We received the email monday to redo medical and get new police clearance, certified and translated. My husband couriered everything to Mexico and they received it today!

Where did you get the police clearance translated and certified?? Santo Domingo? I'm sure that's going to be requested for us next.. And not sure where to do that!

Yes, he had to go to the Procuraduria General in Santo Domingo to get the police clearance, then took it to a certified translator

My wife and I have almost the same situation. I would like to know did you received an e-mail prior to the interview in Santo Domingo and how long before they give your husband the date for the interview? and what questions they asked him...

because my wife in Dominican Republic waiting for the interview date since we receive the e-mail from Mexico saying that they can't give an interview date at this time January 12 2016. We are still waiting...

We received email end of January 2016 for the Interview to be done on February 18th 2016. I notice in that batch of interview that is was all of 2014 APPLICANTS. I had found out in September 2015 that we had interview so from September to January we had no news on when the interview was.

Interview questions :

Important Dates ( wedding, birthday etc)
They asked why my family wasn't at the wedding
they asked why we got married fast. ( we got married after 1 year 2months of meeting)
They asked where I live.
My parents name.

The interview was 35 mins.

If you were married before , your spouse should know your ex name , why it didn't work.
IF you have kids their name as well.

Where you work and how much you make.

my husband's interview was also short, 25 minutes, but the person before us was over an hour and a half.

They asked mostly questions that were on the application
- when and where we met
- where I live in Canada and where I work
- birthday and wedding date
- my parents names
- where we got married, who was there, and why my parents weren't there
- questions about his 2 months in Canada

they said in the e-mail about what to bring for the interview.

Anyways, since our marriage is genuine I will travel to Dominican April 9th to spend 2 weeks with my wife and kill some stress.
According to your timeline, I hope her interview will be held around MAY.

Please answer me about how the (e-mail notice) looks like and the interview questions.

The email came from the same email that all of Mexico's correspondence comes from.
It had my husbands name and had the date, time and place of his interview.
It said to bring documents like birth certificate, marriage certificate, divorce certificate (if it applied to you), if you have not already submitted them.
They asked for a copy of sponsors passport, with stamps, any updated travel information (itineraries, tickets, hotel receipts)
Updated photos
Updated proof of finacial support (if applied to you.. bank transfers, western union)
Updated proof of correspondence (phone logs, emails, text messages)
and any additional documents you want to show the officer to convince them your marriage is genuine.

If they are doing interviews every 5 months, then her interview wouldnt be until July, but it is hard to say if they will be doing it every 5 months or not.

She should know all the answers from the application, and should know everything about you and your daily life.. birthday, job, where you live, family members. You can search this website, or even google, for example questions!

I don't know why because Santo Domingo can do the job to give the visa) Please explain.

Because me as the sponsor my plan is to travel back to Dominican Rep. to attend the interview
with my wife then wait for her during 2 weeks to get the visa and come to Canada.
That way I will do one stone two birds. Please tell me what do you think, because I will
travel no matter what just to attend the interview.

Mexico emailed him 10 days after his interview, with instructions to repeat medical(there is a special paper to bring) amd to get a new police clearance, certified and translated and to mail it to Mexico.
My husbands documents arrived yesterday at the Mexico VO, so now we wait to hear from them for the passport request.

I really hope that your wife gets her interview before her medical expires. It has been such a long wait for us (going on 15 months) and then to have to spend all the extra money isnt fun. My husband spent about 14,000 pesos on medical, police report, translation ans certification of the police report and then the cost to send it to Mexico, its ridiculous!
