AFTER PPR QUERY

Is there anybody in this forum who got PPR and got visa stamped on passport?
Need to ask that the PPR states that visa will be stamped till the date of expiry of passport, what if I renew my passport for 10 years, then will the visa be stamped for 5 years or only for the duration of my course that is ending on Sept 2022.

For the duration of the course, given your passport is valid in that duration.

My course will end in sept 2022, my passport expires on dec 2022.
Someone said to renew the passport before submitting it for visa as they will give 5 year visa if expiry is after 10 years!!

If you are applying for study permit is going to be for the same duration as your study permit. If the passport expires before the study permit, the visa will be valid till the expiration of the passport. However if is for TRV (visitor) it is valid for 10 years or 1 month before your passport expires, whichever comes first.
