I applied in May 2009 and my application transfered to London in june 2010 and December 2011 I got Medical request and send Medical in December 2011 with landing Fee and PCC and still waiting for paspport request. Any one can tell me how long it take to get passport request.

Which Visa office are you corresponding with? is it London office? or you only sent the MR to London?
Did they ask you for the RPRF Fee together with the MEdical report?

yes I responding to london visa office andthey requested me PPRF , medical, PCC and all sent them togather. Medical sent by doctor and PPRF & PCC sent by DHL which received on 6 DEC 11.

PCC: -> Police Clearance Certificate (from all country applicant reside more than 6 months)

Yes, this most the important point. If your status indicates "medical results have been received", then it is a matter of time; there is a long queue for some visa offices.

I have done my medicals in October 2011. I sent an email to London office on March 30, 2012 and they replied on April 2, 2012 that they are waiting for background check results while my ecas status is shwoing;
We started processing your application on April 7, 2004.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

We transferred your application to the London England office on April 20, 2011. The London England office may contact you.

Sherine, background check is ruining all my plans..it's really annoying to know that you have to make a big step and yet you dont know when this will happen..
the thing is that where I work, it's so hard to take vacation, I have to file the leave form months before the actual dates, and it's only allowed during summer months..
I really doubt that it'll be an easy decision or an easy planning...

Xony, Same for me here! It is so hard to take vacation as well, plus my visa to UK is post-study work permit
and I was planning to go this month. I am still waiting for pp request so I travel to UK. Any delay in my travel
to UK can cause questioning in airport why I did not come since I had the visa (last August).

now that we passed Easter holidays I believe new files piled up on their desks again

I started to check where I'll rent and where to stay in the first year,,, pulling myself back now isn't so pleasant
