Hello all,

I am planning to land to Toronto Airport next month. I am planning to carry 10K CAD with me. Is it enough as proof? What other documents immigration officer wants there?

And are there any recently landed immigrants here who can help me what to do after getting of the plane in Toronto airport? My wife and son will land a month after I will. Should ı carry some of their documents too?

Thanks!

Thanks. That thread includes some good advice but it is from 2010. There must be changes in 6 years. Are there a recent title?

Most of the same rules apply.
Be prepared to declare your cash amount to customs when they ask you how much money you are carrying- I think you need to declare $10,000 CAD or more. Have some statements and documents on hand ready to demonstrate that you have the remainder (about $3,000 CAD) back home and readily accessible, should you need it. Have copies of all documents and correspondence with CIC- this includes your PNP certificate, your medicals, your police report, everything. Basically, be furnished with enough documents that any question that may arise can be answered by you without a hitch, and substantiated with evidence, and you should not have any worries.
Good luck!
