Of course you can do the translation in your home country.leonht said:What should I do in the case where I don't have access to Canadian translators? Does CIC accept translations + affidavit from a translator in my home country?
the affidavit is enough.i had the same dilemma and the notary I went to made it clear that they don't certify translations that already have the affidavit.ConnieD said:Hi!
I've got a question regarding translation requirements.
I have my documents transated from Spanish to English and have the affidavit from the translator. My question is, as I see in requirements a certified copy of originals should be uploaded, but, why would I certify a copy if Im uploading he original from which the documents where translated???
If I ulpload originals + translation + affidavit,is it enough??? Or do I still have to get certififed copies?
Thanks!
Connie.
Did docsbase.ca also stamp the original? They seem to have the best quote so far... I'm just worried about what method do they use for mailing the document back to us? I'm confused whether to use courier or allow normal mail, since I do not have a personal P.O.Box and its a highly sensitive document...also, was their translation accepted by CIC?EmploymentOppty said:Do NOT use ATIO. They're extremely expensive, you may face something close to $100/document from them.
From personal perspective, here are a few I found the most reasonable:
The first one was the least expensive and, probably, the most professional of them all, but that's my personal opinion, though. I paid for my five docs less than $100 which is much better than what I was offered. The worst quote I got was $130 for one document %)
