But according to it
Citizenship applicants will need to be physically present in Canada for a total of four out of their last six years. In addition, they will need to be physically present in Canada for 183 days per year for at least four of those six years. These provisions will come into force in approximately a year.
So as I understand this law will be enforced in a year time not now
Yes I believe you but I was informed by my representative lawyer office that it is now official and confirmed

Guys i got news from embassy i reached with one of the employees of embassy in amman and i asked about if i should put my children in formal schools this year in case the embassy replied within next 12 months or put them in any monthly paid schools the answer was if my file was transferred to "bucharest" it will take long time so put them in good schools you should wait but when they checked my file they sent me an email that my file will not be processed this year and all you can do is wait and my file is not in bucharest it is still in amman ;)
Thank you dear rami for sharing this valuable information but I am sure this person lives in another planet since he is in Canadian embassy Amman . he does not know what is going on in Amman office so how he knows what is going to happen in Bucharest .I advise him to go back to his sleep because the transfer was because of laziness of Amman office and because of irresponsible persons like this one. very soon we will receive the medical so remind me to send him copy :P
CAIPS will be ready end of next week so I hope it contains valuable info to share
regards

This is sent to me from my cousin in Quebec

Dear, I think you need to contact Bucharest office now because our files were transferred there.

Unfortunately no news yet about our medicals. We are hoping we will start receiving them soon.

Greetings to everyone following this thread.

Indeed, during the past couple of days I have been reading the whole 101 pages of this thread trying to understand the situation in Amman Visa Office. I understood that ALL applications handled to this lazy office from ALL categories, including Quebec and Federal, AND from 2010 to 2013 have been switched to Bucharest VO. Is my understanding correct my friends?

I am praying and waiting for my PER this year (FSW2014) and have been studying the next step. My Visa Office on the application I sent is Amman and God knows where would CIC transfer it after they finish their part of the review. Is there any advice, brothers and sisters, so that I don't pass through the stress and suffer you went through? And do you think that Amman VO will have a fresh start for 2014 applications as the burden of the backlog has been shouldered to Bucharest? Or do you think this year's applications will be passed to Bucharest VO as well?

BTW, just wanna let you know that that 2014 is the last year for the FSW Program as Canada will apply a new system called Express Entry starting Jan 2015. So, I guess, they will have a plenty of time in all Visa offices to clear the backlog, hopefully!

Thank you all for the feedback and wish you all luck from the bottom of my heart. :-*

Best regards.
