Congrats to mike and Dr tarek. It seems they are getting down to business.
I have a question regarding the Syrian military certificate. Where do u get it from? And is it enough to photocopy the military booklet and translate it?

is your question about the military exemption certificate? if you are exempted, i don't think we have such a certificate in syria. you will either have to translate the booklet which states that you are exempted or get a document from the conscription department stating that you are exempted but it won't be addressed to the embassy. you can get it from the conscription department if you tell them that you want to get a passport and that it is needed by the passports department. I think the booklet is enough. the stamp of the sworn translator maybe enough because there is no way to photocopy the booklet and certify it. this is prohibited. i think the canadians know about this as well.

Dear all
As i thought before,security check at first ,,then medical coz it is clear from the date of receiving update's Moaz,they received his documents one month ago,if they intend to send medical us,so it should not take like this period (one month)!!! If u read old posts of our friend wishfullman,u can notice that he sent his update them,then he recieved his medical within 2 weeks!!! It is right that he is FSW, but law bedon send us medical at first ,ma kan take for them 1 month mshan eb3ato to our friend moaz medical ,5sosan enno ne7na QSW ,ya3ni lazem 7ata ekon faster coz we have already evaluated by Quebec unless they started now security ,my friends this is from my expierence with others forms .anyway i will send my update on monday inshala coz i am in my village visiting my parents now ,i will go back to Istanbul on saturday inshala, hope Ali David and Ronnet receive this email soon.

why your email was in French while all members received them in English? by the way this is the first time I receive email from them in English even i wrote in my federal application that the preferred language for communication is French?
moaz application received on 25/9 so it is only 22 days ( one of them was holiday ). so still in my opinion they will send medical very soon before security. most probably next week along with paying landing fees. I have feeling that our files will be processed in special and fast way and the coming days will prove that

we do not have this option it depend on how the office will process files, medical then security or security then medical. we can only know this by ordering caips if we did not receive medical more than a month

In my opinion, i think they want to update our files only, because if they want to do the medical why the did not send the medical required with update file as lebanes applicants. Then it is clearly that they want to do the security before the medical.

My friend mft25, leh 3am da2e2i about language of my email?i think it is normal,maybe my officer is different than urs!! I am like u also ,i selected french language for communication with me,but maybe they sent me this email in french because they noticed all my documents in french!!(i translated all my documents in french and filled the first application in french also),by the way ,not only my email in french, acoustica's email is also in french

It is also my opinion my brother drali,and it is clear when they sent me second email and apologized ,they said to me that i will receive medical forms in the next step of processing ,it means there is first step of processing which is security check coz update forms r nothing,these forms have nothing with medical,medical benbe3et anyway coz we have evaluated by Quebec,anyway if someone does not receive medical within this month,so i am gonna order Caips for my file after one month of sending my update in order to know if security check start or not yet

Thanks mike for the helpful explanation. And yes they requested the military exemption certificate. In fact I received the update docs email yesterday, much earlier than I expected given that my file is AOR April 2014. The email is exactly like yours.
