Hi there

I have applied PR(CEC) a while ago and My PGWP is expiring shortly, so

I applied BOPW May 17th. I am waiting for BOWP.

I have question here.

as soon as I received BOWP, I am planning to leave current company for company, offering better opportunity

BUT some of my Friends say that I should not quit the company until I receive Medical Request from CIC, which might affect

my application.....

does anyone know if this is correct or not? I am not provincial nominee applicant and I applied as CEC, so I believe I will not be affected this.....but not sure

Please help me guys.

Have nice weekend

You could have quit even before getting AOR or even sending a PR application - the only thing that really matters is if you had enough relevant work before applying for PR under CEC program.

BOWP is an open work permit. It allows you to work with any employer, unless stated otherwise.

Since your CEC is in application, changing jobs will not be a problem. CEC is a PR program which needs a certain work experience with a matching NOC to back up your work experience. The NOC should be checked so your experience are qualified for application.

I believe you had recevied your AOR. Did you apply before Oct 2014?

Thank you for your response

Yes I got AOR and applied Sep 2014

Do you know if I can get BOPW for any employer ?

does it have to be same employer as I applied?

Thxs

O in BOWP stands for Open - valid for any employer.
