Hello Guys,

I have started this thread to discuss and track timeline after AINP nomination.

I just got AINP nomination today. I don't know that should I apply before December 2014 or wait for EE 2015 ????

Thanks....

it depends on your points though.
just calculate your points if you are well over 900 then i would recommend to wait for E.E.its faster than traditional PNP-PR application

I though we could apply both at the same time?

Raj, I'm actually waiting for EE to start. I have about 1000 points so I think its my best chance so far. I just hope the server doesn't crash when it's time to apply.

I have the same question...A friend of mine, she applied with Agency. /And they told her the processing time for PNP is 8-10 months, but it says 17 on the website..but I figured the agency should be more experienced with timeline since they have lots of clients...I am not sure..My co-work applied PNP in early Feb this year, He got his PR (Passport back and landed in Canada Place) this Monday...

Aramin. You don't have 100 points. A nomination doesn't give you the 600 points. ONLY a LMIA will do that. If you have LMIA as well, then of course wait for it! But If you only have a nomination, you're in the bottom of the pool with the rest, and it would be wiser to apply for the PNP PR already.

Lol no offence but..i would recommend you to read cic express entry page

Hi Mario,

Please let me know where it says that nomination is worth the points as well? Maybe I got it wrong. From what I have been reading in different posts, it "seems" like the LMIA is mandatory for the points. It would actually be awesome if nomination is valid as wel (I'm on the same boat).

Please refer to the section, thanks.

I saw this article today, clarifies a lot of the confusion, at least for me.

http://www.mondaq.com/canada/x/358372/work+visas/Applications+for+Permanent+Residency+Under+Express+Entry

Thanks for the link.

In the absence of a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment, PNP certificate holders on work permits based on their nomination may only apply for Permanent Residency through a non-Express Entry category.

So after all there is going to be a non-express entry category for PNP, after the nomination one can send a paper application...is this the way you guys understand?

Hope this clarifies/

According to the CIC website a nomination can be used for express entry and is worth 600 points.

Btw I'd rather not trust any other website except CIC's page.

you could either find from Comprehensive Ranking System formula under additional points or look at the CIC website search for express entry.

I talked to AINP officer. She advised me that I need to apply to federal with paper application. \

thats what immigration agency said too....Did the AINP officer say why?

I believe that it's not 100% clear if the points will be allowed or no. And if so, you still need to be selected. Yes, your chances are higher, but you still need to be selected. Taht could take weeks, plus the invitation, plus the approx 6 month the PR process will take.

For me (and this is a personal point of view, obviously), I would suggest everybody with a nomination to apply for the PNP PR. Stay safe with what is secure, no reason to wait for a "tentative" selection of a pool. Yes, it will take more time, but is not that muuuch time. PNP PR's are taking 8-12 months, regardless of what cic page says on the processing times.

Got my AINP nomination the same day with OP but I dont have one year experience so cant apply for EE. Now waiting for my criminal record check to come back and send it to CIC in Sydney.

Probably will send the application in Jan. as the holidays are coming up and everything takes longer to process.

Finger crossed for everyone and happy holiday!
