nov 2015 -app sent to cic
jan 2016-app sent to new delhi
jan 16 2017- interview in delhi - jan 16 background check passed
jan 18-security intiated

have not heard anything since then - i have done multiple mp inquiry same ahiiit answer -no help

O right totally forgot our security and background check took like 8 months
Once you recieve schedule A ur good

No travel history....just had to go to India for interview and Pakistan for DNA

When does ur medical and police check expire?

they never requested schedule a or police check - mine expired in 2016 but security check was already intiated - jan 18-2017

i dont think they will ask us for that because we ordered gcm notes and it shows that background check is passed which is the police certificate - and security already started which is schedule a

Nope security is security that takes the longest.
When u get schedule A that's when u know ur near the end.
Schedule A is update information of address, job, education etc.
Once u get schedule a, they will ask for medical and police check if it is expired at that time, police check is only valid for 6 months so looks like they will ask u for a new one but don't do anything unless they ask u

but they never asked a few other afghan applicants who already got ppr - and we had already provided scedule a wen we sent application - also in the interview she told us that she already checked the police certificate and its passed she needs to start background

From what I know there is security, criminal and background check. Criminal check takes forever.
All applicants get a new schedule a to fill out, and without a valid medical u cannot enter Canada
Not sure what others are saying but that is the process for all afghans

So when they send u schedule A that means all checks are completed and passed.
If ur medical and or police check is expired they will tell u to get a new one and send it all at once to them

Sorry other question , maybe New Dehli will send to my husband interview after medical results ?? Because in AfG so hard to go India and then come back and than go again .

After my medical I didn't hear anything for over a year

I think medical is valid for one year, I have done medical on 23rd May 2017, also my application status shows medical was successful
