Hello,


Does anyone know how long it takes when you submit your passport to VFS in Islamabad for them to return back to you with the visa?

I am looking for a time frame.

hi. i have submitted my wife passport to vfs islamabad on 29 april 2016. on 19 may have received email that your passport has been dispatched from canada visa office. they will call me on tuesday for collection. so it will take 1 month to get your passport back.

How did you send it to VFS Islamabad? My wife is in Kabul. Did you go to Islamabad to drop it off?

I got the passport request letter today. My husband is in kabul does he need to go to Islamabad to send the passport to vfs or can he do it through mail

hi. yes your husband need to submit the passport in person. yesterday my wife got her passport back with visa and copr. it took almost a month to get her visa.

And how come it took a month? Did she stay there because how would she be able to come back without her passport

He can submit his passport through mail via courier..

Bahara have you visited your local MP office
it shouldn't take so long and if it does you have full rights to know why is it taking so long
hope you get some update can understand this is very stressful time

hi dear Jaytanz,I was in the MP weeks ago our MP said that they can not do anything because now there is background (security checks)they said that we should wait until all result will not end..I don't know how long to take background checks from Afghanistan ?but almost 3 years we are waiting it's not fair I really do not know what to do?I even lost the sense of what next to dobut I know one thing we are treated unfairly :'(Allah please help to us

I can understand what you are going through can only suggest stay strong and keep fighting if one mp doesnt respond visit another one but dont stop your fight email the pm office aswell

My husband submitted his passport on the 9th of May and he is still waiting!!! So annoying!!
