Well they won't have a passport so I believe that they have to stay in Pakistan until the passport is returned.
I do know that they get a form stating that the passport is in the visa office but I'm not sure if they can travel with that.
TBH the tracking number basically updates 3 times. 1. it tells you that it was received by the Visa Application Centre. 2. It was dispatched to the Canada Visa Office. 3. It has been processed and sent back to the Application Centre where your spouse will be contacted to pick it up.

P.S. My hubby got his visa this morning. It took exactly 3 weeks to get it!

my partner has done the re medical on May 1 or 2nd. How long should I wait before looking at the option of calling my MP? Also they sent another email asking for PR Fee which got sent on May 8. How long do you think I should wait longer?

PR visa is single entry visa its validity is only until your medical expiry date

I heard if you contact your MP and tell them its unsafe for your husband to stay in Pakistan as he has no relatives there. They will contact the Visa office in Pakistan and speed up the process. Its worth trying.

Since he just gave it (Friday) should I wait a bit or contact them immediately. I contacted them before which got them to get ndvo to ask for the passport.

I think the sooner you do it , the better. My cousin apparently did it on the same day, his wife gave the passport and got the passport back in 3 days. He mentioned that his wife is in Pakistan alone and he's concerned about her safety. So Do it up. No harm in trying cheto? Planning to do the same thing when I get PPR Inshallah

Hahaha yeah that's the plan. I'll mention it's Ramadan and he has nobody there. It's going to be hard for him. I am worried for him. It's taking too long..
