hi, Everyone ,
I had applied spousal sponsorship for my wife in May 2014 and i have received letter from CIC mentioning that they received sponsorship . my wife work permit expires in DEC 2015 and she need s extension . She was a student here Canada before and holds open work permit status now . in order to get extension I am not sure if she need Labour Market Impact assessment from her employer or not .

Also she need to travel to India in November , wondering if she can apply temporary resident permit same time wit the work permit extensions or not ?

Salam Aliakum,

it's been long time that I haven't posted anything. My sister just got a passport request email from New Delhi for my brother-in-law's sponsorship usually as far as I know that passport goes to Islamabad, Pakistan but stupid immigration employee has forgot to write down the address where to send the passport I got in touch with the MP today she is also waiting to hear from them.

By the way he was sponsored in Nov 2012 and then later on the file was transferred to New Delhi.


Any respected member what u think where we have to send the passport to India or Pakistan.

I believe some other members also got ppr to be submitted to NDVO but it was by mistake so best thing to do is to talk to MP and wait for th answer. 90% it has to be submitted to Islamabad and not ND

Btw, do you know when your brother in law's case changed to IP? I also applied for my husband sponsorship in November 2012 and still waiting for his ppr

For for most of is it is taking one year so far my 2ndadical is expiring next month ! I don't if we are going to get a 3rd madical or what !

I did MP enquires few times and they say the file is in background check and its been few months I don't know when this wait is going to over

My spouse hasn't yet received PR card yet after landing in Canada. On her visa, they only had her first name and it looks like this is causing problems. What do I do? Is there a form I should submit? Even when I check her online status, she's missing last name. Can never trust the incompetent Islamabad visa office....grrrr!
