Hello everyone,

I was wondering if you could help me answer some questions regarding my husbands sponsorship. I have sent all the documents to Mississauga in december of 2014 and have received an email from CIC about two days ago saying that my application was received. Today, I received another email that my case was approved. My husband has already done his medical check,and police check.
His visa office is the one in New Delhi. Can you tell me what we can expect? What is the next step?

As of now, step 1 is complete. You're in step 2 which means they will process your spouses' application. They might as you for additional documents to be sent and maybe remedical if your application takes longer than a year from when your spouse did the first medical check.

side note, I and some other members have waited longer than 26 months. Hopefully yours wont take that long.

Hey brother, my application and your application has the same timeline. I am in the same situation.

MAN THEIR IS ALOT OF AFGHAN THAT ARE WAITING FOR SUCH A LONG TIME FOR THEIR WIFE/HUSBAND.

I am just wondering and really stressing about something. How on earth do we send our passport for visa stamping if there is no visa office in Afghanistan? What if we can't afford to fly to India? And it's so dangerous to go to Pakistan now. I have no idea what we should do.

How long did your application to transfer to New Delhi after part 1 sponsorship?

I have received letter from CIC stating that I've been accept as sponsor January 27th, 2015.

I haven't heard since then.
