Same here Sadaf; this is just so depressing now....I keep hearing other people who've had their cases done within 8-12 months and we've been waiting for over 2 years now...really unfair. Plus, CIC is keeping everyone in dark...no apparent reason for this sequence.

I believe there is a protest on March 1st in front of Parliament Hill regarding this. We should join, although the strike is more for sponsoring spouse living IN Canada.

If you have included your and your spouse's e-mail address in the application, they will only send you emails regarding your application--no mail.
If you applied recently, they will either send you a letter of acknowledgement within the first week or so (they usually don't do this though), OR send you an email once they've accepted/sent your application to India/London.

Once your case is transferred, then the wait begins...

You might get an email from NDVO asking you to pay the PRFP and submit the police clearance for the applicant, but if you have already done both, you can just send them photocopies of proof.
Otherwise, the next step will be to either ask you to come in for an interview or if everything checks out and they deem your relationship "genuine", , they might send you a second medical examination request (depending on when they look at your file because the meds are only valid for 1 year).

My husband also received a phone call after they sent him a request for remedical (in June 2014!). He was asked about his job and where he lives etc. Also, if he got request for meds, then 99% he won't get an interview.

application transfered to ND Feb 10-2015
yes i already did the police clearance + Payment. do they ask for copy again?
QUESTION: how they will contact for interview or remedial, so far i got one email from CIC for acceptance of my application that i am eligible, so it means that they will always contact me and my wife through E-mail for any inquiry?

If that's the case, then I would let it be. Like someone else mentioned here, the only option is for him to get a new passport and tazkira completely with the proper names, which is going to make the process even longer than it already is.
Don't fret too much about it; he can always change it once he is here inshAllah.

Thank you so mch outlandish,Yes you are right, if I change now than they are going to find a excuse to delay more. I decide to let it be as it is now. We wait more than enough now I don't want more delays. I really lost hope by wait and waiting like this... Hopefully God listen to our pray and finish this hard time of our life soon inshallah...

Salam nick dear, I feel you 100%. This people don't understand they keeping away newly couples for this much long. And also by keeping us away from each other creating more problems between relations. Our partners get tired of living like this. In this two years a couple could settle and make their life. Look at us still our life is in pending. I really don't understand what is our fault ,why they r not finalizing 2012-2013 application first than start doing the new application.

Salam dear,
My husband has mail box too, he is updating it every year. He is thinking might they send anything over there. But I got everything by e-mail that I provide them. If you provide them your wife is email address they going to contact her for interview, remed or any documents which they need it...

Im waiting about 3 years !! And it just like 30 years !

My hairs comes white ! Im just 26 years but i feel like 50 .
Anything is interesting for me !
And most of u just waiting for ur spouse but i am waiting for my spouse and my son !
