Does any know what is needed when at airport in canada. i would like to know so i can prepare it for my wife. if there is any forms please let me know. Also does My wife need to put my last name on the forms when she is in canada airport caz i have heard if they don't it will take long to change last name.
CIC Website states:

You must have some documents with you enter Canada. Without these documents, you will not be allowed into Canada.

Essential documents:
•a Canadian immigrant visa (if applicable) and a Confirmation of Permanent Residence for each family member travelling with you
•a valid passport or other travel document for each family member travelling with you
•two (2) copies of a detailed list of all goods (personal or household items) you intend to bring into Canada as settler's effects (showing the value, make, model and serial number if the item has one). Divide the list into two sections: the goods you are bringing with you and the goods to follow.
•Two (2) copies of a list of items that are arriving later and their money value.

Do not pack these documents in your luggage. Keep them with you at all times.

Yama jan your wife does not need anything..just the visa, the pr form and make sure your wife has your address on hand so she can provide it to immigration officer for pr card to be sent.

I had done an MP inquiry prior to application status change and receiving the notes, and today the MP got back to me.. this is what she said.. "I spoke to CIC, and I have good news for you. As you know application is in process, they have waived the interview, she has passed eligibility, and the medical; they are currently processing her criminality. So let's be patient a little longer and let me know if you hear anything in coming weeks."

Could u plz tell me whats MP?

No if they have asked for this now it means they haven't started the background check yet ! It will indicate this in your recent notes too ! My husband send it to me since my cousin was just coming from Afghanistan I took it to my MP she send a scan copy by email and I also mail it to them they asked for original copy's of the form so make sure u send it by mail too ! Hi guys,

I filled Apps to sponsor my wife from Afghanistan Visa office which is in Charge of Afghanistan is CHC Islamabad Pakistan.

I filled Apps on Oct, 8th 2013
CIC Mississauga received it on the Oct, 9ths, 2013
App Processed and Approved on the Oct, 24th, 2013
Apps Forwarded to New Delhi India instead of Islamabad Pakistan on the 24th Of Oct, 2013

In my application I had told them that my wife is on her 4th week of pregnancy..

In the letter I received from CIC it states that " you have met the requirements for the eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded tot a visa office abroad fir further processing.

NEW DELHI High Commission of Canada

This Visa Office was selected based on your relative's home address and the requirements of the imigration and refugee protection Act. "

Now I was wondering if that have taken a special consideration for my case because of my wife's pregnancy or is Applications from Afghanistan is being processed thru Delhi India now? ..

If anyone else had a similar case please share it and let us know how it went... Also if Afghans can share their timeline like how long it took them took them to sponsor their spouses would be greatly appreciated..
Why they have sent your file to New Delhi instead of Islamabad office.
