To know the case processing time for your file you may consult CIC website and see the time allocated to your country. I am sure the OP did not get Visa in 7 months, it was atleast applied in 2013. Relax and read other posts to get info regarding your case, wish you good luck

I send my file may 2014. And yes it took 7 months. The mistake people make when filling there application is the make there case complex. The more extra info you provide the longer it takes. What they ask just send not anything more. Also it took me almost 8 months to put the application together. I hand it cheaked my 3 poeple caz other poeple will find mistakes I missed. Just saying they more complex you make your application the longer get it take cic to process it. Anyone need help with there applications just ask me.

Wooww you are so lucky. Congratulations. So, it says that you started the sponsorship in may of this year and you already received your wife's visa? When you say that she received her visa does that mean that she can now come to Canada?
If you really did start your process in may of this year and everything is done now. Does it mean that the whole process only took about 7 months?
Please help!! I feel so anxious about this whole sponsorship thing

My application status was "application Received" till 24, May, 2014 on May 22, 2014 in changed to the "In Process" I also done my second medical. Now what will happen please help me.

We received Arman's application for permanent residence on September 18, 2012.

We started processing Arman's application on Oct 22, 2012

Medical results have been received.

On May this Year It changed as below.

The majority of Afghan application received from Islamabad in early 2014 were already passed our published processing times. We now continue to process them as part of our regular case load, and a number of Afghan files transferred from Islamabad are now finalized or close to finalization.
