I believe the Police Certificate does not expire except for Medical which is Valid for 12months. No point of submitting unnecessary documents unless asked for in my opinion.

Medical as well as police clearance have 1 year validity
normally they only ask for police certificate of current country of residence that too only if you are interview recommended applicant
and yes do not send documents if they don't ask unless you are queued up for an interview

yeah your right bahara

its really get harder each day being far

hope we get good news this week inshallah

dear bahara

So bad News for everyone...
I checked the processing times and for India it is now 20 months, before it was 17.
And under afghanistan its says 36 months.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/index.asp

It says Spouse or common-law partner living outside Canada (afghanistan) 36 months.

so bad news, but I don't think so it's for us ,this process for who apply after April 2016..

really? oh thank god. i got worried that it will take even longer for us

Just an update April 17th I received a email for my partner requesting to do medical. My partner travelled to the capital city and completed the medical examination. On April 28 I received another email while my partner was in the capital. Requesting to pay RPRF Fee which I had already sent back in October 2015. They sent me a link to upload the files. The MP office told me to click on a "urgency of PR Fee", but I didn't think it made sense. so i had called the online number talked to an agent just now and she told me to click on the "sponsor outside canada".

I printed the first email where I sent the RPRF in October and also attached the receipt again as well.

Things are in motion now.
