Hello,
it's only now that I discovered this thread. I found out that my hubby's file was transferred from isl to nd on March 6. Can I expect a status change in ecas, soon? It still does not show "in process". Also, from your experience, do you think anything at all was done in isl during all these months (I applied in January 2013) or was it just sitting on a desk? I ordered GCMS notes, but apparently it takes 30 days to receive them...

As far as I know, if our cases follow the new Delhi timeline exactly then it wont be in process until after 8 months of it getting transferred to ND. And in my opinion, I dont think any work was done on our files while in ISL (atleast not on late 2013 cases like yours and mine)...so the answer to your question is No, dont expect any change in ecas as of yet, be patient, inshallah our time will come soon ( Cant wait ! )

Since Our Family Medical Expired on March 2014 , I used to hate this forum also same as i hate Islamabad Embassy Process.
I will remain silent reader until i get any new update about my family case.

The Following Procedures has been done with our Family Case, As Wife i Sponsored Husband & Three Children ( less than 22 age )

1 January 2008 Application Filled by family after embassies request to my family,
2 2009 DNA TEST Done,
3 2009-2012 Background Check ( Security Check ) Done,
4 2013 Medical Check Done & Expired on March 2014.
5 2013 Interview Done,
6 Passport request for Visa Not yet Done,
7 Passport sent for Visa Not Yet Done,
8 Passport received not yet Done,

6 years & 2 months passed in CHC & still nothing.
Now you people Judge it.

How do you know the exact date of file transfer or did u receive an AOR from their office or other members if you have received anything from NDVO was it by mail or email and also did the Sponsor and Applicant received the info cause I have been waiting for the past 19 months and haven't received anything from these guys last time I order my gcms notes in January 2014 and the file was sitting in Inslamabad.

According to my gcms notes, my file was ACTUALLY transferred in July 2013. I called call center and they told me it transferred to New Delhi in February 15th, 2014

Now did all of you get a confirmation email from ND that your file is there? because. I didn't, I only found out when calling CIC. according to the agent it was sitting in Islamabad for one year...

Yeah i got a confirmation right away when it got transferred to ND some ppl whose file was in isb for like a year or more usually didnt get it i have realized it and idk why its like that...

Yes it's strange for me also. sometimes i imagine that as 80% process of file is getting done it might mean from another view ( 80 Months ) instead of ( 80% ) . even we are close to that number if 1 % equal 1 Month, so we are currently on 74% which means 74th Month currently running with an already expired medical test.

I didn't receive anything either. I found out via call center as well. I guess each immigration officer working on it, are different. Some probably didn't deem it important enough to tell us lol

although, it seems that those whose files were transferred straight from Ottawa to ND probably got the email, whereas those whose application transferred from ISB were not notified... hmm MAYBE, just a thought

On another note: does anyone know if it is possible for afghans to get a visitor visa? Not for my husband but for another family member. Have you heard of anyone getting a visitor visa? Is it hopeless or worth a try?

Hi dear,

i understand how difficult it is because i am at the same situation and my file is transferred to New Delhi on February 15th. i am going to complete the dateline of 32 months processing time on May 20th.

Don't know how much time New Delhi well take because my re-medical is going to expire on June 24th. I and My husband are completely lost don't know what to do.. :-[
