Afghanistan Spouse Sponsorship thru India

Hey brothers and sisters i want to share something with u guys... My MP in Mississauga returned my call from.few weeks ago and i asked him this question.... since my file have transferred to NDVO from Islamabad and Im an Afghan applucant so would the processing timeline of Delhi (12 months) would apply to it or Islamabads (32 months)??.... he very coldly and calmly said that Islamabad processing times would apply to it still, i was like wtf...i didnt ask hm anmore questions since i.got so pissed by his stupid and heartbreaking answer...he didnt seem like he was very sure but if he was then i think im.gonna die i cant wait that long anyone else called their MP, do they give the right information??

Listen, first off MP is a member of parliament. He is not a visa officer or have any direct connection with immigration Canada whatsoever. Consider an MP a live gmcs notes that you pay 5 dollors to order, but mp is somewhat free (though he gets paid via your tax money).

Secondly, don't start to assume things or have a high hopes. Just because many files are being transferred to london and New delhi that doesn't automatically mean your spouses will be here in their timeline. Things are still grey, no one has a firm example yet. We will only find out when a large amount of Pakistani/Afghani applicants spouses start getting visa with 10 months. If members tell you, this is the best thing that happened or we will have our spouses here in 6 months. These are all assumptions for now. Wait it out and see. Im not saying, it can't happen. Im saying not to expect it to happen for sure.

I remember similar with Ottawa our files were transferred there, at that time Ottawa sat at 10 months, all members assumed this is great pakistan is at 26 months and Ottawa at 10, this is the best thing ever. Slowly and painfully, we realized that it was just a assumption, we will still follow Islamabad timeline and Ottawa was just a holding ground. That is why many senior members will say don't get ahead of yourselves.

It's human nature, anyone would take 12 months over 32 months.

Hope for the best, expect the worst....

Soo I went to my lawyer to drop off the police check and it will be mailed sometime this week to India..I also enquired as to why I haven't received an official letter confirming where my case has been transferred..she didn't have a clear answer..all we know is that it is currently being processed in India...she also mentioned that its great because if it was being processed in Pakistan..we wouldn't have reached this stage so fast..

Ill be going to Afg in a few weeks and I'm praying that my hubby comes back with me..ill be returning in April bakhair..so fingers crossed..raste aga chez kar daren az Afg begoen lol

Your MP is out of his mind, don't listen to what he has to say... My Mp told me regular 12 months New Delhi processing times would apply.. Why would they transfer your case to NDVO if it would take 32 months? they can just leave it in Islamabad.. Also my passport request tells you that its not gonna take 32 months .. Always think positive , stay strong...

Thats exactly what ithought too bro... i was like whats the fu****g point of sending a file to NDVO from Islamabad and it would still take Islamabads processing times thats retarded and i was so mad when he said that S%hit i thought he was on crack or something... I have faith in Allah and i believe that our files will wrap up in around 12 months inshaAllah i miss my wifey so much and this waiting is so hard for me and i know really well how u guys feel too...

I had submit my application to Mississauga immigration office on december 20 2013 and they send it to new delhi on Jan. 27 2014. I had call but they don't give me enough information for next steps after the file is sent to india. Can someone please tell me the following future steps of what I should be aware of in the future. And I'm sponsoring my husband's file living in Afghanistan. Thank you. I'm so happy Shukor it went to india instead of pakistan because pakistan is a long processing time.

Welcome dear, did you get another email after Jan? We all almost go another email to submit the landing fees and Police Clearance Certificate if not already submitted. I think only Peerzad was also asked for his Passport.

My parents were hesitant at first too specially my mom cause of the elections and security issues but my hubby and I joined forces and managed to convience them lol
