Dear All,

The last topic had really become too long,,so I started this new one!!

Punjab Boy: Its really very long after ur medicals,,but I think they must be doing background check on ur file. I feel ur PPR must come within 30 days from now,,and after PPR, it wont take very long,,Sending a mail, or checking with CHC also isn't a bad idea (I dont know the mail ID though)
I know persons, whose post - PPR time is over 2 months, coz they received PPR very quickly (so where was the time to do background checks?) so it will take some time for them, strange (to hold Passports for so long) but true!!

Hi Rupeshhari,
Hope they have started working on ur file,,because its only after they start processing the file, can we expect the things to move,,

They started working on my file from 3rd Dec'08, their website says,,

Please,, find time to comment on my comments,,

Regards
Santosh

Hi Punjab Boy,

I saw somewhere in this blog that you contacted CHC & got a reply that they are reviewing ur file.
I think they take around 6 months at least to do a case (only my assumption). Can u tell us, after checking ur online status, as to what date did they start processing file from?

We can get a better idea from there maybe,,
(They started to process my file from 3rd Dec'08, as per the online status)

Hi Punjab Boy,

Its really a situation, six months after medicals,,!!

(Online status shows only that much,,& landing fees can be given when asked, so no issues with that)

I think you should be getting ur PPR very soon, max by April-end and I believe it shouldnt take much time to stamp your Visa after PPR, since they would have done the background check complete by then.

Hi San,

How r u. its 3 moths after medicals for u . I think they are taking 6 months after medicals before sending anything but then all cases vary from case to case .

I hope u have send all other things i.e PCC, IELTS, Prrof of Funds, and all other documents. If yes, then it will be more faster. and do remember to send RPRF with document request without asking by them . It will save one month.

Hi Santosh.

Have u got anything new from their side,

They are too slow in india . One of my known person in family case is waiting for Visa staming and they have submit Passports in Dec 08.So Four Months after PPR.

So Im prepared to wait for 6 more months now.

Hi Punjab Boy,

The uncertain wait after the elating news of getting medical request is very harrowing indeed!!
They really are too slow in India, but then why this hurry to send medicals request?

And 4 months after PPR is very unfair as well. What if the person needs them for some reason,,(i.e. travelling elswhere etc.)

Only if they could bring about some transperancy, or keep updating the status online at least.
It seems a matter of pure luck here on how quick or slow your case moves!

Least we can do is,, wish all of us Very good luck for faster processing & Visa.

Mine is a similar case :(
Medicals done on 7th Apr 2009
Request for Medicals+RPRF+Passports came in one go.
Passports sent on 8th APr 2009
Medicals received by CHC New Delhi on 17th Apr 2009.
Still waiting for Passports to come back.

Is it true that they donot hold passports for more than 90 days??????
