yup 3-4 months nowdays ..

they check employer history and authenticity of job offer. They also have some criteria like employer should be in business for last 1 year and paid some taxes and stuff ... check cic website.

3 MONTHS APPROXIMATELY

THEY VERIFY THE BACKGROUND OF BOTH EMPLOYER AND EMPLOYEE

Thank you guys for sharing your thoughts and experiences.

Anyone that wants to share his/her experience with these concerns please let me know.

Hi,

I am also interested to have AEO. Can I get it if my occupation falls in the NOC?

Here is the quote from the CIC website regarding AEO conditions:

1) The employer has made an offer to hire you on an indeterminate basis if you are accepted as a federal skilled worker, and

2) has obtained a positive Arranged Employment Opinion from HRSDC
and you

3 The employees meet all required Canadian licensing or regulatory standards associated with the job.

In the above conditions 1 & 2 are OK but what does (3) say? Do we have to get license from Canaian authority before applying for AEO?

Seniors, please clarify and oblige.

Thanks.

Hello everyone !

I want to know some more detailed information if possible on where HRSDC gives its approval or disapproval responses about AEO (arranged employment opinion letters)

- What do they check exactly?

- What would it make them to approve an AEO letter?

I do have some information and I've created an idea but i would greatly appreciated a more experienced detailed opinion. Any hints or positive personal experiences on AEO letter approvals, I'll be very thankful.
I have found a cook job in Toronto that suits my expertise and the owner is willing to support me with this AEO once he sow my qualifications; but I'm concern on what will they need from me in order to give an approval of AEO.

Thank you.

Paola :)

some jobs are regulated by professional bodies and needs to get registered under those. Say accountant job is regulated one. Hence person needs to CGA from Canada and registered with relevant authority. Indian CA cannot get registered unless study and pass CGA and get registered. Then only can get AEO

yes... precious metals is correct... They also call ur employer ask several questions like why this particular person? why could not employer find any Canadian and so on.... Mine AEO was done in 2007 so, now their process might have changed but the basic verification remains same

As much as I know on 01-06-2010 Service Canada stated currently processing application received 06-01-2010. Your submission date is almost the same as mine. Here below is my timeline:
Job Offer: 25-01-2010
Acceptance of Job Offer: 06-02-2010
Submitted to Service Canada: 12-02-2010
Acknowledgement Letter from Center #1877 in NB: 25-02-2010
Did your employer submitted to TFW in NB?

Anybody who has applied for AEO, let us share our information in this topic 'Arranged Employment Opinion 2010'

Hi all,

AEO application submitted (by employer): July 20, 2010
Received by Service Canada (tracking): July 22, 2010
Job offer location: Surrey, BC
Job position: Accounting

I hope processing time is not that long, since I took IELTS on Sept 26, 2009, and based on FSW guidelines, IELTS should be no more than one year from date of submission!

Will keep you posted and hope to learn more of you guys timeline.

Twilightgirl,
Definitely you need another IELTS, because the opinion comes after min 5 months, which means somewhere in Dec 22 which is begining of holidays, so Jan 2011, there comes your reply. Sorry but this is what is happening on my case: Feb 19 received, but today (July 28) still no news ....
