Advice required on when to apply for Canada visa

Hi guys,

I was rejected for a Canadian tourist visa few months back.

But I recently got a UK visit visa.

Now should I apply for Canada again straight away or should I visit UK and come back and then apply?

I want to maximize my chances and I don't know if visiting UK would make any difference in the visa officer's decision.

What were reasons for Canadian refusal? You need to address reasons and having UK visa may not be the only issue.

Yes I will address the refusal reasons as well. I just want to know if visa chances are higher if I visit UK and come back as opposed to just having a UK visa (and not going there).

Visiting and returning home is a much better proof that you have met immigration rules in the past. Doesn’t guarantee approval for TRV but having a UK visa you never used will have minimal impact.
