Hi

I've a score of 446 with max IELTS scores but with age being 36 years. I'm unsure if I'll ever be picked up? Please advise. :(

CIC officials have stated that the scores would be coming down by the end of Sept/ Oct 2016. 446 stands a very high chance of getting picked if they do so. But meanwhile, you can try for any open PNPs like New Brunswick, PEI based on your NOC code.

Awesome quick reply. Fingers crossed.

Here's my plan:

No assistance sought from consultancy.
Waiting on ECA from WES.
Currently, residing and working in US for three years in Financial IT.

Two quick questions:

Will I need a PCC from Indian authorities or Feds here? And if it is from India, can I get it from US?
For Medicals, assessment from US will work?

PS: I cannot go to India.

Be hopeful just like the lat comment and stay on the look out for PNPs.

Regarding your questions, am afraid you'll need PCC from a India if you have ever lived there for more than 6 months and definitely US since you've worked and lived there for 3 years and counting now.

Medicals in the US is fine.

Hello mate. Can you share the source that indicates that scores will come down by the end of Sept/ Oct 2016. This is sounding to be a great catch to me.

FYI: I checked here CIC site (cant post the link) that you can reach out to the Indian consulate/embassy for the PCC. And of course, the FBI for the US PCC.

One year continuous work experience should be in one NOC, doesn't matter if working for two different entities.

Also, will my spouse also need WES evaluation and employee reference letters?

1. If your spouse is the co-applicant, then ECA is optional. If you want to claim points, then you can get it done. You can get up to a maximum of 10 points.

2. If your spouse has Canadian work experience and you have claimed points for it, then you will need reference letters, otherwise not required.

Also, I reached out to a consultant to see where I stand on my grasp of the process. Two things stood out:

1. He says having a score < 450 is good as we can apply for the Ontorio Nominee program and he's certain that my family will be nominated. in under an year. Really, any guesses what feeds his certainty?

2. Regarding the employment reference letters, he says I can declare my job position and responsibilities on a stamp paper (for INR 20) and anyone can sign it. Nothing on the company letterhead is needed. Can this be twisted this way?
