I am a PR Holder in Canada last 8 years. I am a Single Father with two children from my former wife, I had sponsor my second wife on January 2009 "we have Married in Toronto in 2008 but we have afire since 2004". . she was here with me until august 2009 and went to pairs for her confinement we already has a daughter born in 2007, and this time we had a son.

I informed to immigration and they ask to sponsor him so I did. But now my situation is changed. I got lay off on March 2009 and was in EI until November 2009 then I went to social assistance "welfare". As a single father I can not look after my two children and go to work. I am searching evening shift But I do not find one job Agencies give only two three days jobs. I was switched many jobs in last 7 years 99% through agencies.

now Immigration ask me again Financial Evolution form IMM 1283. and letter from current employer. What can I do?
Since last 6 year I am struggling to manage my home I am almost in a stage of give up, My children too suffer much. I can not compensate a mothers position. the only hope I had was my current wife will share my load.

What is the good advice to me. I am keep searching jobs with no success. ??? ???

I know you are struggling, but you can't be on social welfare and be a sponsor. There are no financial requirements for sponsoring a spouse, though they may ask you how you intend on supporting your family, they cannot refuse you for not having a job. Once/If you get off welfare, you could write a letter explaining your situation and why you do not have a letter from a current employer. write "N/A, see attached" on all the forms that you cannot fill out.

Do you have any family or friends you could move in with? I hope you find a job soon! good luck.

Thank's Plumosa Your answer give me hope.

I have a far relation but they are not helpful. I lost all my savings in 7 years family struggle.

can I call my wife in visitor visa "because she has a return ticket on 23rd august" and support me so I can accept day shift and distance jobs as well?

Is it possible to ask immigration to give me extra time to submit the documents ? Actually they had given me 90 days until Nov1st. to send the documents.
if i can do I have to mention my situation to them as well?

Nesan, I know it is difficult, I have raised both of my children alone as well, with no help. I have never had to use the welfare system, though I do have subsidized daycare. They do not consider assistance with daycare funding to be "welfare", and so, I work any hours that I need to fairly easily. I do not know which province you are in, but maybe that is something that would help your situation?

Here are some resources you might find helpful:

http://www.pwptoronto.com/index.php

http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/eng/goc/nobodys_perfect.shtml

http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/eng/goc/universal_child_care.shtml (You probably already know this one)

http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/eng/goc/cctb.shtml (You probably also know of this one)

http://www.ontario.ca/en/communities/families/index.htm?openNav=residents

Have a look through to make sure you're asking for support that is available to you. Most times charities (such as Parents without Partners, in the first link) will also direct you to other resources (such as child-care for low income-earners, etc.) so it's worth making some phone calls.

Also, make sure you're checking http://www.jobbank.gc.ca for job listings as I find it to be the best source of job postings (at least it is in BC).

Well bud the best thing for you to is see if she can get the visit visa, then if she does once she is here she needs to keep the status legal all the time, then maybe you can go get some work, but you need to be off assisstance for a while before you can apply.
Then you can get your children into daycare and get the daycare subsidized.good luck.

I thing I need to explain little more

Me and my wife miss each other for very long time she travel to and fro, her parent start murmuring of her situation, I am missing my two children in Paris especially my daughter. she is 3 years old now.
I do get some jobs but through agencies and last only for days or weeks, what use of it.
My wife is French citizen she need only entry visa to come here.
I have a question as my application is "out of country" in this case France. in case French embassy ask to do medical test for my newborn " can I do it in Canada and let them know or do I have to send them again to France?
And is it possible to get work permit and health card for my wife in this situation.?
can I ask them a little more time " instead of rejecting" to bring my situation back? because two moth is barely enough unless I am lucky to find a job.

OK your wife will not get a health card or a work permit until she is a PR.You being on assisstance can not sponsor and for sure it will be refused.
Im sorry your having such a hard time.
You can get the medicals done in Canada yes.
You will need to withdraw you process get off social assisstance and reapply.I understand your pain but like i said the best you can do is try for a visit visa for your wife and children get them here and she can watch the children while you go to work. And then apply agin other than that there is not much hope.

Thank you everyone for your directions.
I learned lot from this form.
Thinking about withdrawing my sponsor if I do not get a job in a month or two, And re sponsor when I get in platform.
People form the societies, Family is the element of society, But now families straggle to be a family.
I wish everyone and pray for them to join their family soon.

hi nesan

I can undeerstand what your going through i have to thus been through it ....Not with welfarewitht he strggles raising children by your self and going through IMM..

Try getting subsody ??? Is that not possible..And if you can get ur wife here why not join the armed forces...I mean there are many soultions here ...But as for the wlfare thing if you rely soley on welfare as a income then unfortuatly the sponsorship will not be approved ..I cannot imagine ur fears right now ..Just keep moving forward one step at a time ..Look in your community for support services ..See what can be made readily available to you and those kids ...

I wish you the best of luck and i wanna take this time to give you 2 thumbs up for being a MAN and taking care of his children ...Soooo Cudos to you !! I wish you alot of luck ..

Does best interests of the child apply to the sponsor also in the IRPA? If so no need to withdrawl write a submission asking the application be considered under H&C stream in light of the new developments since you filed. Not sure about this someone having dealt with issues on the sponsor side needs to comment usually its the applicant who has all the problems lol.

It wont do you no harm to contact a lawyer for a FREE consult to get a bit of legal advice on this so you have a better understanding of your situation
