My wife and I have been living in Canada for 5 months out of the year and the rest in Europe.

There are a good deal of questions in the application concerning where one resides. I have decided to answer with our address in Europe.

However, in the schedule A Background / Declaration form under question section 10 "addresses", it states that I need to provide all addresses that I have lived in the past 10 years. Should I include periods when we lived in Canada or the US for 1 month up to 5 months? Do I include all the visits to other countries (numerous)?

During the past 10 years, I traveled a lot in Europe for business and sometime leisure but only had one residence. However, I also visited the US and Canada often, sometimes for months. I am thinking of not indicating trips within Europe but I will mentioned the trips small and great to North America. I assume they have record of my time in Canada so I should mention them even if it was a week or two.

What do you think?

You can write a short letter explaining that you lived part of the year in Europe each year, include that address.

Are you filling out travel information form? (I recall not required for all nationalities).

If not, choose some period like a month or two or three and include all places you lived more than a month.

If you need to do the travel form, à bit more complicated.
