Hey guys , so in the address history section . I dont remember all the addresses of the places ive lived in since i move usually 3 times a year ! I dont remember the exact dates or like the unit number . im not sure what to do , thanks

You have to make an effort to remember. Check your old bank statements, bills, etc. No way out.

Your base location where you lived matters and needs to be mentioned. If you were travelling for work/leisure/any other reason for short trips, you do not need to mention those.

While doing my undergraduate studies, I lived in the dorms at my alma mater. Every semester would be a different dorm/building, and I cannot find/remember the room number for one of them (from back in 2001).

I contacted the university, and they told me they do not keep records of student's addresses and there is no way for anyone to verify what the address was.

Do you guys think it would cause an issue if I put down the partial address(building name, etc) and explain it in an LOE.

Cheers

PS> for those having a hard time remembering old addresses, check your online invoices, email shipping notifications and receipts.

You dont need an LOE for this. I would just mention the Hostel/Dorm/Building name for each year I stayed.
P.S: IRCC does not ask for any supporting documents or verify the same. Address History is only for Police Verification.

I don't think you need to go back that far. CIC asks for 10 years address history.

I think it's every place since you turned 18.

""Provide details of your personal history since the age of 18, or the past 10 years, whichever comes first. Start with the most recent information.""

In your case, provide the address history for the past 10 years.

No, it's 10 years or since you were 18. If you are 25, you'd only go back to when you were 18 (7 years). If you are 32, you go back 10 years to when you were 22.

Do you mean in my case? So if i'm 35, only go back to when I was 25?

Correct

Oh... does this rule apply to 'personal history' as well? or does that need to start at when a person turned 18?

Cheers
