Address Disappearing August 2011

My address disappeared on 27.Jan. for the second time and still is not back! In the meantime I got a request to pay for the ARC I can see the end of this process soon... FINALLY!

We just noticed that my wife's address disappeared from her eCAS today. I had just called my MP to ask for an update on our file when I noticed the change (somehow I doubt that the two were related). Hopefully this means some sort of change or update is happening. False hope it might be, but it's better than no hope right?

Interestingly enough, this morning my wife's application status in eCAS changed to "In Process", saying "We started processing your application on February 5, 2012"-- two days after I noticed the address disappeared.

I just want let everyone know guys if you did not send the landing fees receipt copy (rprf) to cic missisuga send them as soon as possible..i just spoke to them today .and they said no matter how you make your payment online or in bank .we must send a copy to cic missisuga and cic new delhi..it takes 1 to 4 weeks to process .......so please send it now to avoid delay in your application....

after almost 6 months, my hubby´s address reappeared. Could this be a good sign?

My mailing address appeared today- which it has never been there before in the 7 months that I have had access to ecas. I was told it doesn't mean anything but who knows. I will take anything. Maybe at the very least it means someone has updated something in our files? IDK. I guess at the very least it can't be bad?

Someone here said that address disappearance is just a computer glitch in CIC's system, which I personally dont believe. If it was a glitch then how come only sponsored persons address disappears? Maybe I am wrong, but I never came across any post here that sponsors address disappeared! I believe it has something to do with some update on your file which you dont have to be, necessarily, aware/informed of. In my case, my address was disappearing 2x and in both I got requests from my VO for additional doc's within a week after. Second time my address was missing for several months and it was back at the same time (or maybe a week after - not sure) when my ecas was updated with "A decision has been made..."

Thanks Gost! Even if it doesn't mean anything, I will take your words and hold on to them....at least it will give me some sort of hope and "help" through this whole waiting process! My thing is that I have never had my address shown on ecas, since I first accessed it in December. Oh well, at the very least I can think someone is updating the file Thanks for the response!

One more thing.. My home address was was not showing during the process. The one that was disappearing and reappearing was my mailing (my representatives) address. My husbands (sponsors) ecas, from the beginning was showing his home address and mailing (our representatives) address too and that never changed. It was only at the end, after my ecas showed 'decision made' that my home address was updated for the first time and it was not full address but only 'Toronto, Ontario, Canada'. That way I knew that decision was positive even before I actually received official letter from VO confirming it!

Hi gost, I´m also going through Vienna, so I would like to ask you: when "decision made" appeared on ecas, did you get email from Vienna to send passport copy? I mean, if they requested your passport copy, was that before the "decision made" on ecas, or afterwards?

If I remember well, I submitted a copy of my expired pp at the very beginning with the application (at that time I was in Canada and not able to renew since the embassy of my country was not issuing any passports cause they did not have equipment for new, biometric, ones). I think it was november (you can see my timeline at my profile info) when Vienna requested a copy of my current (new) passport. I guess if I submitted a copy of a current passport at the beginning they would not request another one again. Maybe procedure is different if you come from visa-exempt country (I dont).
