Hi everyone...
I'm a Canadian citizen who's about to sponsor my Indonesian wife.
We would like to submit our application as soon as possible, to CPC-M. We're choosing to do it outland through Singapore.
I've been in Indonesia since the end of September 2012. I am scheduled to return to Canada at the end of January 2013, which means I will have been in Indonesia for about 4 months. I came here with a tourist visa...
As you all know, Canada would like to be given assurance that the sponsor will eventually reside in Canada once the sponsored person receives her PR.
If I wanted to, I could submit the sponsorship application once I am back in Canada, which means that I will be able to include my boarding pass (of my return to Canada) as a proof that I got back to Canada. (Note: when submitting the application, I will be showing my return ticket to Canada, but somehow I feel that it's not a strong enough proof, which is why I'd like to show them my boarding pass, which I think is a lot stronger proof that I got back to Canada.)
However, there's a good chance that we will have finished the application in mid-December 2012....so if we could send the application that early (from Indonesia to CPC-M), why would we wait till end of Jan 2013.....right?! (My motto is: the sooner the better ;D )
If we ended up submitting the application in mid-December 2012:
- Would it be a good idea to send them my boarding pass (so more or less it's going to be a "document to follow"), once I am back in Canada at end of Jan 2013, to prove that I got back to Canada?
- Considering that I am the sponsor, is it better to send the boarding pass to CPC-M or to the Singapore visa office?
- If I sent the application to CPC-M in mid-December 2012, somehow I doubt that by end of January 2013 I will have obtained the application number/UCI (because it takes 2 to 3 months for it to be released right? Which means it won't be until mid-Feb or mid-March that I will get it).
So, without an application number/UCI, what could we use as a reference for our application then, when sending my boarding pass...? I assume we just have to mention our names and address? Is it enough...?
Thanks a lot...!
