Acknowledgment from CIC

Dear Friends,

My first application for Permanent Resident Visa was received by the Canadian Visa office in Nova Scotia on March 9, 2010 and till date I am yet to get any correspondence from them. What could be happening? Could it be that they are yet to initiate processing of my documents? Does it usually take this long to get acknowledgment from CIO?

I got my IELTS since November, 2009 and time appears to be running very fast; someone should please enlighten me what next to do.

Hi,

Contact them and ask them about your application status. Now april applicants has started receiving theri AOR's and i gues only couple of end of march applicants are waiting, so you should check with them.

we are on the same situation.I too had applied March 5 CIC got my application march 8 but up to now no news whatsoever....even DD was not encashed yet...Did you apply by yourself or with an accountant...I had an accountant but no news from them too...........

Hi,

You need to call at 16139444000 and then select options in this sequence 1...2...1...2....1

You would be placed in queue and after 5-10 minutes, your call would be attended by someone. The person would ask for client id. Since you don't have it, provide your name and DoB and then ask for your status & client id.

Hi vgatiwan,

I did mine through an agent and have the tracking details indicating a sign off by a CIO official.Let us try to contact CIO as Saki advised and get to know what the matter is. I would have preferred an email correspondence if I had the contact address.
In any case, I trust God for the best.

Hi,

Better to contact them via phone as email will take weekssss to get any response and also you dont have any client ID at the moment so not sure if they will disclose any information on email.
