Hi, I am a Filipino accountant with CPA license and local work experience. I am applying for PR visa via Canadian express entry (FSW). I am wondering if I would need a separate license in order to work in Canada (if I obtain a PR visa). Do I need to take any exam first in order to be hired in Canada?

Assuming you are a CPA with the Filipino authority, you will have to register with the CPA board in the province where you want to work (Ontario, Alberta, etc). Depending on the country they might have some exemptions for you or a process to register you with the local CPA board.
Best would be to contact the Canadian province's CPA board directly.
But for jobs, it totally depends on what kind of opportunity you find and how you interview etc. Depending on the situation, employers might ask you to register with CPA Canada first, or give you sometime to register, or not even ask you about it.
