Course does not matter, it is a benefit govt of Canada gives to SP applicants. If you are from Philippines & applying from there you should apply together, the success rate is pretty good compared to other countries. Can anyone help me if course should require to be a Master to bring with me my spouse on the first year? Or any course as long as I have my study permit and visa, my spouse can come with me in Canada together. Thank you.

How was your spouse able to apply for his PGWP outside of Canada?I have a somewhat similar question.
I have received my study permit and visa to travel to Canada and pursue my course in the fall batch.
Meanwhile, my husband has applied for a PGWP from outside Canada and is waiting for it now. Once he receives his work permit, will he be able to travel with me so that we can stay together as I study and he looks for a job in Canada?
He went to Canada and completed his one-year course. Due to the pandemic, he had to come back to his home country. After coming back, he applied for his PGWP from outside Canada. How was your spouse able to apply for his PGWP outside of Canada?
I thought one wasn't allowed to apply for PGWP from outside Canada? If he is able to get his PGWP, then he can travel with you, since others with OWP are allowed to travel with their spouses who are on SPs.He went to Canada and completed his one-year course. It is possible to apply from outside Canada. You can check it here - https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/work/after-graduation/apply.htmlI thought one wasn't allowed to apply for PGWP from outside Canada? I know a few people that did that in the past month alone. As long as you applied together, you are allowed to travel with your spouse (job offer or not) and kids if applicable. It is not allowed to travel with your spouse if you have an SOWP, you need a job offer, check the IRCC WEBSITE
So we had not applied together. I have already received my student visa. On the basis of my student status, how can my husband accompany me?I know a few people that did that in the past month alone. Email IRCC and ask if your husband requires a Travel Authorization letter to travel to Canada. I have a friend who came home from Canada in December 2020 (while awaiting his PGWP). He received it in Feb and he went back to Canada in March on the PGWP. He had no issues whatsoever getting in ( besides paying for the exorbitant mandatory hotel booking). So we had not applied together. I have already received my student visa. Thank you! That will be very helpful. Do let me know if you find anything. He had a part-time job prior to coming home in Dec, which I guess he returned to? I'll ask him if he was asked to provide proof of that by CBSA officer..
