Pls help.. is there anyone here who submitted their academic ielts result and was accepted? i am scheduled to pass my full docs this wednesday and just realized (again!) that i took acad... i dont have much time, my 120 days is about to end... i really appreciate any help..and i most especially like to know the opinions of those who submitted their docs in VO manila. thank u

I think you have to the General one. The academic IELTS is for academic purposes not for immigration. I suggest you write to them and ask them to give you extra time to do the IELTS but for sure it is the general one.

i feel bad.. really bad. i submitted my ielts result to my agent weeks ago and she accepted it. i remember asking her if it's okay she says,"yes"... i am only 2 JDs away from submitting my fulls docs to the VO! i'd blame my agent for this...

As you have timeline ending, just submit the application with the current IELTS, and in the meantime also take GT IELTS and provide the results later.

Answer to your query is "YES".

i had submitted my file with IELTS, academic module. but my Visa office is CHC, ND.

my suggestion is to go with this, if its accepted in my case than surely it will also work in yours too.
Don't worry, just go with it.

yes, i will take a shot and just try but i will take my gt as soon as the VO told me so. i had too many troubles and wasted so much time complying with my agent's requirement (of having each page of JD signed even if i already have JDs signed at the end) to think about this at the end..

yup definitely go for this and they must accept this, as they just need to check your English language proficiency and nothing else with IELTS (which can be check by either - Academic or general one).

I am so anxious so i started searching and this is what i found.. by the way my visa office is in manila so i looked for this:

this gives me hope. i believe this means GT or acad are accepted?

i don't want to cause any trouble or misunderstandings but i still want to hear your opinions and experience. i want an open discussion.

Well in this case send the Academic one as you do not have much time. I hope they accept it as only General Module is accepted for permanent immigration.
