My CIC account shows approved. But so far, no SMS, email, nothing. Even VFS tracking still stays passport with Abu Dhabi Visa office. I guess I will have to wait a day or two!

I just got an email and sms saying pp has been dispatched from advo to my local VAC, did you get another notification to go collect or is that it?

I just rcve a sms from vfs dubai last sunday afternoon then yesterday i went there early in the morning to collect and just.ask me if i reacve a sms and the thats it congrats to you again by the way we can smile now finally

Hello everyone! Congratulations to everyone who received their passports/ got approved on MyCIC. And for those who are still waiting...all the best...it'll happen soon!

I have 2 questions- The status on MyCIC for me, says my application has been approved and to check the message below. There is no new message, just the PPR letter. Any idea what thats about?

Also, how much time does it take for one to get the sms from VFS and the passport to arrive at VFS, once your status on MyCIC changes to approved?

Once the status change to approve it means they just put the sticker on ur pasport so u will just wait for one day to collect ur pasport supposed ur cic approve monday tuesday u will

Your passport may still reach VFS by end of today. I would say you call VFS first thing in the morning tomorrow (9 AM sharp) and in all likelihood it would be ready for collection.

did you apply through VFS or directly to ADVO? It's a shame if they are dispatching it after 8 days.

this was the same case with me also...i guess there is some other procedure that needs to be carried out before they dispatch the passport....

You were bang on Vabs. I just got an email saying my PP is dispatched and on its way to VFS. However I paid for courier already to VFS so I will just let them courier it to me tomorrow.

yeah but there is no VFS dubai for canada...
even if you submit to VFS Dubai, it still has to goto Abu Dhabi for processing.

There is a separate VFS Dubai for Canada.

Is submitting passport to VFS Dubai recommended or should I use Aramex?
My working hours are 9-7, and taking leave from office is not easy.

Please recommend.
