People please share your timeline just want to know how many others are waiting who submitted around my time. I submitted to VFS Abu Dhabi on 25th July and still no update. And ppl who got it.. how did you know - did they email or call you that it is ready for collection? Do they take more or less time depending on your passport..i think i read that somewhere . I have a Pakistani one.

Thanks for replying, however I live in Abu Dhabi so I don't think I can use the dubai police for it. Currently I am using the MOI website which is connected directly with the abu dhabi government websites.
Ugh I wanted to post pictures of the options available but their service is currently down. I'll post again with pics when it's back up.
I dont think that your nationality has anything to do with the delay,average processing times in abudhabi seems to be around 2 weeks,did you try calling or emailing them?

I did try calling them (VFS). They don't give any information over the phone - they just say its with the Canadian embassy. I've been thinking if i should email them using the IRCC forms but im note sure if that will help?
I thought you sent your passports by aramex,i think you should be able to track your progress through your vfs portal
Nope I dropped them off at the VFS location in Abu Dhabi. I told them I will pick them up in person and when i submitted they said it takes 2-4 weeks (which is what they tell everyone). VFS portal atleast for Abu Dhabi is no use.. status never changes. It always reads that "your application is in progress at the embassy"
Yes from what i have read vfs dubai is much better but anyways try calling the embassy or emailing them and keep us updated,myself i in a hurry to recieve my passports,good luck to you and all of us
yeah but there is no VFS dubai for canada...
even if you submit to VFS Dubai, it still has to goto Abu Dhabi for processing.
So the funny thing is that my cic profile has been updated and my application has been approved and finalized. However, no news yet of the passports from vfs.
