Any idea how long the Canadian Embassy in Abu Dhabi takes to put on the PR sticker on your passport and return it? Any members here had any experience with this?
No updates from me. Its been 8.5 months since AOR. I called cic and they said my background is still in progress. For most of the people here, the process takes minimum 10 months, and there are some that have been waiting for 15-16 months. Dont want to put ur hopes down but i guess try to be patient.SagarP said:Hey guys!
Any updates?
Also, do we have a WhatsApp group for ADVO applicants? If not, we should start one.
Mine took 19 calendar days using Aramex from Dubai.mubzali said:Any idea how long the Canadian Embassy in Abu Dhabi takes to put on the PR sticker on your passport and return it? Any members here had any experience with this?
interesting. i sent mine using the CVAC option. it said on the instructions I got directly from IRCC that they would process it within 10 days and then additional 1-3 days for delivering it back to the CVAC office. only been 6 days for me so far but i'm already counting days.Hot2Cold said:Mine took 19 calendar days using Aramex from Dubai.
I work in Dubai and my visa office is London as per the email received from CICdream2017 said:I just got the ITA during the last round. Currently, I am working at UAE. Most probably the visa office will be Abu Dhabi. It is frustrating to read about the inefficiency of Abu Dhabi VO, which is of course not surprising either. :'(
Good to know. Thanks for sharing. I thought the visa office depends on the current residential address. Do you have any connection with London? Is it faster than Abu Dhabi?Pascal.H said:I work in Dubai and my visa office is London as per the email received from CIC
No, I don't have any connection, like you I thought my file would fall under ADO; when I sent an updated document I was surprised to know that my file is in the visa office in London. My friend got his ppr in 3 months and 7 days and his file is with LVO as welldream2017 said:Good to know. Thanks for sharing. I thought the visa office depends on the current residential address. Im a resident of Abu Dhabi but my VO is Canada. It doesn matter where u reside, your application can be anywhere. U can check by ordering notes or calling CIC ( only call CIC if your application exceeded 6 mnths)dream2017 said:Good to know. Thanks for sharing. It seems that you are almost there. Congrats! When you said the 'updated document', does it mean you were previously assigned to Abu Dhabi Office?Pascal.H said:No, I don't have any connection, like you I thought my file would fall under ADO; when I sent an updated document I was surprised to know that my file is in the visa office in London. Thank you very much for sharing. It is quite interesting to see some unpredictability. BTW, I may consult you on any post_ITA issues, as I just got my ITA last wed. A long road ahead of me.adtocanada said:Im a resident of Abu Dhabi but my VO is Canada. It doesn matter where u reside, your application can be anywhere.
