what are usual processing times at abudhabi VO?

i submitted my EAPR on 8th nov and additon of spouse on feb 24th.

its been four months since i submitted my applciation...

any one on the same time line and waiting?

Avg processing time of ADVO is 6 to 6.5 months

Heeru-mann Is your processing office Abu dhabi as well?

I guess our time line are similar.

It's been four month since I applied I guess it's going to be more than 6

Applied for wife's SOPW on OCT 19th 2015. Still no update.

But I guess now they have changed the system. It can be processed anywhere in the world.
It is like a global que system.

For me it is exactly 4 months today ...and still nothing .....I got my GCMS notes few weeks ago ...they were generated on 1st of February.....last time they had touched my file was on 4th of December 2015....which is the same day I provided the last document they had requested which is the Kuwaiti PCC.....

In the notes before it they had mentioned they require the Kuwaiti PCC.... in the last note they bring no mention of it but it says that the officer is satisfied with my NOC code and job experience matching so I cleared the most risky reason for rejection .....and there is nothing negative in the notes luckily.. however why they had not touched it for 2 months that is driving me crazy .... and I am not sure if it is still in Ottawa or was transferred to Abu Dhabi ... all the notes were from CIO or Ottawa ...none by Abu Dhabi....

All i can do is wait and hope that during the month of february some progress was made.... Between the mid and the end of April I will order a new set of notes if I had not gotten PPR by then... then I would have something close to the 6 months period which I can quote when I enquire.

I just wish for a miracle and to get my PPR by the end of this month or beginning of April ..... one can only wait and wish and hope lol...

BTW, there are a few who got the PPR from ADVO in 4 months or a bit less even... every file is different it seems... I liked OOPNP, they followed a better style similar to a first come first serve method....I dunno why CIC dont follow that and are a bit random with files.

Abu Dhabi VO is responsible for people applying from all GCC countries plus Yemen .... that is what the CIC website says ...

Perhaps people inside Canada who had lived in a GCC country and provided a PCC then Abu Dhabi VO might check that locally with the authorities.....but I am not sure.....

not true. im applying from saudi arabia, and my application was processed in Ottawa.

I am applying from Kuwait and mine is being processed in Ottawa as well ... but it might have been transferred to Abu Dhabi but then maybe back to Ottawa again for workload redistribution (that is what i got from my GCMS notes) ..... LVOs do play a role with processing especially for confirming PCCs I think ...

Did you get PPR? What is your timeline?

I'm not sure what role LVO's play in the process. Maybe as you say, some applications are transferred to other VO's depending on workload distribution. I think mine happened to be processed in Ottawa. I applied on the 29th of Sept, 2015. and I received my PPR on the 2nd of March, 2016. My passports were received by the Canadian Embassy on the 6th of March. Havent received my passport yet. No updates since then. Just waiting...

one more thing, i have non-GCC PCCs as well, so I dont think files need to be transferred to Abu Dhabi just to confirm PCCs. Or else, each application would have to be trasnferred to the concerned LVO just for confirmation? I doubt that,,

Congrats on the PPR ....took around 5 months and a week ?

And I dont think they would have to transfer full file but maybe just internal communication during the security and criminality checks.... no one knows what the hell is going on tbh lol .... some people applying from late Dec got PPR in Feb.... no one knows how CIC handles things...
