Hey,perfectSkilledMigrant said:That is great we all should hope to get the ppr in 2 weeks maybe.
A few more questions pooja:
1- what is your country of origin?
2- what is your country of residence in the GCC?
3- how many applicants are there on your application? Alone or with spouse and kids?
4- how many countries do you estimate you have visited in the last 10 years?
I am asking to estimate how much it needs from BG in progress to PPR as it probably relates to the latter details....some people took 3 months for ppr from.BG in progress...

I believe, BC will be passed after COPR and application was approved. Till, COPR issued the status of BC will show as in-progress.poojasathe said:My BGC started on 2nd March, and PPR email on 17th March. My cic account status still shows BG in progress. I assume its will be updated soon.
It seems your journey to PR is nearly over. Good luckowenaze said:I checked mycic status this morning and noticed that my application showed "updated" but nothing seems to have changed. I guess my application is being worked on ;D. Hoping for the best.

You can try contacting CIC through their helpline line no or try to raise a Case Specific Enquiry.IRONMAN7777 said:Hi All,
My Mrs has applied for a Spouse Visa/PR, from Canada. I reside in UAE.
I don't have the ECAS unfortunately but here is what I do know.
My application was received on the 16th of Nov 2015 along with an upfront Medical.
My Process started on the 1st of February 2016.
Medical Results have been received.
I am guessing that it is under Background Checks currently but I have no sure way of knowing. I am also unsure of where my application is being processed.
