Hi All,

We submitted our passports one week back to VFS centre, Dubai. VFS tracking number keeps on showing that it is under processing at Abu Dhabi Visa office. We have one confusion:

My husband who was dependent applicant (as I am primary applicant) has changed his job recently so his old visa which is on passport has been cancelled although it does not bear any cancellation stamp.. We are confused if we should inform the Abu Dhabi Visa Processing office of Canada about his job change or not.

The main problem is we are in a hurry to get our passports back as my husband has his new visa from the new company but it is temporary and needs to be processed within one month which can not be done without passports. We fear, If we will provide this new information it may further delay the processing. We submitted our passports one week back and the VFS tracking number keeps on showing that it is under processing at Abu Dhabi Visa office.

Any advice?

The stamping at ADVO takes around 30-35 days. So, it’s better you can withdraw your passports temporarily and give it for UAE stamping.
You can resubmit your passport after getting approval in CIC portal(you will receive a call or msg from ADVO).

Sent my passport from Bahrain to AD via Aramex on 19th Sept. Delivered to the embassy on 20th Sept.

Haven't heard anything yet. CIC status was still "in progress" as of yesterday. The CIC servers are down, so I haven't been able to log in and check today

Anyone in the same boat?

The stamping at ADVO takes around 30-35 days. So, it’s better you can withdraw your passports temporarily and give it for UAE stamping.
You can resubmit your passport after getting approval in CIC portal(you will receive a call or msg from ADVO).

Thanks for your reply. I checked old posts in this forum (mainly Aug ) and people usually got approvals in 14-20 days after their submissions.. I think since processing time at ADVO has increased recently. But this is so unfair, how can they keep the passport for so long. They should finish their background and other checks before asking for passports.

I think we will wait till 10 of November (almost 27 calendar days since pp submission) and if we dont get by then, we will temporarily withdraw.

Passport delivered on 25th September. No news until now.

Received passports and CoPR today from VFS Doha. What a ride it was ... starting the morning of January 25th this year when I saw the invitation email till the day today when I am holding my VISA in hand, I can recall every single moment of excitement, anxiety and all the tensions I've been through. This forum was my one stop shop to take out the frustration, gaining motivation and of course my fellow mates in my limited capacity.

I am off now. Best of luck to everyone waiting on different stages. Believe me for one thing, IT IS A PATIENCE TEST .... if you have rightly submitted everything and did enough research when preparing your documents, you will be through. It is just a matter of time ...

CIC updated to approved. Took exactly 35 days. Waiting for my passport now. Hoping to get it tomorrow. Thanks and good luck, everyone!

Me too. Sent on 18 Sep from jeddah. Abu Dhabi received on 20 Sep. Still no response

It seems the officers at advo has been working today (friday, a weekend) to approve delayed applications and mine was approved today.

Submitted to vfs 7th of oct.

Yes, mine too. Alot of people I know with 7-8 Oct Submission got approval.

Yeah mine too.. and we submitted on 15th October to VFS Dubai. although VFS tracker is still showing application is under process at Abu Dhabi VPO But our status on cic website has changed to approved.

Typically how long does it take to get the passports back after cic update?
