Abu Dhabi Embassy... Anyone still waiting?!

Hello,

I submitted my paper-based application with biometrics from VFS Dubai on June 8th 2016, and I didn't get anything back from them until now. I know that these applications are processed in Abu Dhabi embassy along with a handful of other countries. But What the hell is this???
I already missed my Fall 2016 intake, but I am worried now that I might not even make it by January for my differed offer...

I know that this is not normal at all, but just curious, is anyone still waiting as well?

I tried the following: calling VFS, calling the embassy in AD, calling the consulate in Dubai, visiting the embassy in AD in person, emailing the embassy and VFS, submitting 3 useless case-specific inquiries, tweeting to CIC, calling CIC internationally and from within Canada. None of this helped or offered any confirmation or support.

I am really out of words, I don't know how anyone is supposed to plan more than 4 months ahead in their life, this does not make sense at all. I received my admission offer on June 6th and I applied after 2 days, I have no idea what did I do wrong... They are so cruel

They refused to let me in, saying that they have a policy that the embassy is not open to the public (active since January 2016), and only Canadian citizens are allowed inside after they take an appointment. So I basically drove all the way from Dubai just to meet the security guard at a closed door.
I also, found a guy from Oman standing near the door after he refused to leave because he drove all the way to AD and he insisted on entering, but they offered no help and showed no understanding at all and they simply let him stand outside.
They asked us to submit a case-specific inquiry for any details about the status.

that's really bad and I'm really sorry to hear that. I was actually reading a similar case here on this forum where a person had stated that he went to visit the Abu Dhabi office and the security person gave him some "pink slip" in which he had to mention his reason for the visit. So he filled in that slip and they let him meet the respective visa officer and he was issued visa later that day

I applied paper based Study permit on 1st June 2016 from Karachi Pakistan with upfront medical , on 15th September i received a message in myCIC to send my current employment details , I send them on 17th September , after that there is no reply or update yet.

Omar why don't you order GCMS notes. I mean I know it's already late but since you're being offered an intake for spring you have time until then. GCMS allows you to read visa officer notes and then you can discern what would be made of your application.

What I know is that GCMS notes are usually used when the application is rejected, to check what went wrong during the process. Will it be beneficial if the application is still under process as well?
I have no idea how to do that anyways, or how long it takes.

it seems the problem is everywhere. the Canadian government need to do something fast concerning their immigration system outside Canada
I applied 11th July and still nothing yet
I missed my September intake already but I haven't deferred my resumption
the VO made me give proof of payment of my fees since August note is seems my tuition is going to waste

Nah you can get it whenever you want. Isn't just for rejections. It takes a month to arrive though....

Apply on 16th June, 2016 from Lahore office with upfront medical. I don't know why they are delaying in cases. I want to complete my 2 yrs degree till the end of 2018....
