Hello everyone,

Was going through this thread and very happy for the people who got their approvals, congrats!

I'm an Indian working here in Dubai. I applied directly online for a student visa on December 12th for the Jan Intake. There was no update as such on the portal about anything but yesterday it changed to "Review of Medical Report : Passed". Is this a good sign? My course commencement date is Jan 28th but I got it postponed to Feb 13 and got a new LOA from the university which I submitted online in a query form I think. Did I do the right thing? I'm just worried, I'm not sure if this is going in my favor or not.

Would appreciate any advice or help.

Don't worry bro, you are safe. Moreover, your medical status indicating that you are deem admissible in Canada or in other words your eligibility is passed from VO.

My Kuwait residency permit was expiring so I had to renew it.

Withdrawing your passport might build up some pressure on them. Let's see what will happen. You keep me updated.

To be honest with u, it is difficult to comment anything. It entirely depends on the visa officer that the time they take to process visa. But since u are applying in April so your chances are high to get before September, but still have some back up.
I would recommend u to first apply for American tourist visa and then go for Canadian study permit visa as visa officer sees your travel history and that will make your application more strong. Make some travel history and apply for some European country's tourist visa as well. That will increase your chances to get visa in first time. If you are having visa for other countries then it will be difficult for the visa officer to reject your application. Also make sure you should have strong family ties to your country of residence or citizenship. Show your properties papers and try to show maximum funds in liquid that is funds in your parent's bank account. Do not assume that your properties or the worth of your house is considered as funds. If you are having some discrepancies in your previous education marks then try to explain it in your statement of purpose and make your sop strong. Good luck with your application.

I got my passport after 6 working days. How many days are over for u ?
