I am a PGWP holder and I've got an job offer (It's a skilled job (NOC A, B or 0)), but it has to start as an internship for 3 months, and then maybe become a full time worker depends on that 3 months' performance.

Can I use that Internship contract to support my spouse to get the work permit? (I checked the rule on CIC's website, it doesn't indicate the job has to be an full time job)

It does not requires you to have a job to apply for SOWP, right?

Hi , for supporting your spouse to get the work permit, the PGWP holders have to have a job (NOC A, B or 0), just don''t know if internship contract works or not?

Let me answer my question by myself :D

For supporting PGWP holders' spouse to get the open work permit, as long as the job title meets NOC A, B or 0, doesn't matter if it's a full time job.

My BF's spouse open work permit has been approved last week. ;D

What was your NOC Code? And how long did your pgwp application take?

I will be getting my diploma soon and applying for pgwp. How come they said the job has to be fulltime?

Then, i think we have to check how they define "FULL-TIME". (If you check CIC's website, it doesn't show "full-time" on the requirements for supporting your spouse. It only shows that you have to have a skilled job)

The NOC code of my job is 2174.

ps. Although it's an internship contract, but working hours still is 40 hours/week.

The fact it's an internship might be a problem. Someone here was recently refused a spousal work permit under these conditions.

they did ask me to provide the details of my job duties, maybe that's the reason for different results? I don't know, not sure.

Awesome! So you submitted your pay slip and copy of pgwp only? How long did it take?

i submitted my pgwp application and my bf's SOWP application together on June 08, 2015, and been refused on Dec. 11, 2015. I've posted my story here-

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/my-judicial-review-experience-without-a-lawyer-t401902.0.html

After I accepted their settlement, they asked me to provide the details of my job duties while they reviewing our applications, and that made me worry if Internship contract would be a problem. it's hard for me to answer you how long it takes, since ours are special cases :).

Yes, I submitted the job offer and payslips together with our applications.

Oh wow what an experience!

But how come you were able to submit your pgwp and SOWP together? Was it because you already had a job under noc 0 a or b that time?
