i have a couple of questions regarding family size in my application. can anyone help me have a better understanding?

1) IMM5768, Q15
the guide doesn't specify how i should count my family size in previous years.
in my case,
2012-2013, status = single, my parents and me, family size = 3
2014, started living together with my partner, i am assuming still = 3
2015, we signed common law, family size = 4
And he will co-sign my application for my parents. So should the family size look like
2012 = 3
2013 = 3
2014 = 3
2015 = 4
or every year shows "4", which is the Maximum so far in IMM5768 Q15?
2) if my individual income in 2012 doesn't meet the amount of a family size of 3, does it matter? could my partner's income be added onto my 2012's even though we were not common law at that time?
