Hi,
I would like to share some useful information regarding choosing your level of studies.
I am going to categorize these level from lower to higher.
** Ph.D and D.Eng are both in the same level but with a bit of differences. D.Eng has more courses base comparing to Ph.D.
Okay now as you can see I've listed all from lower to higher level. Indeed, the main purpose of posting this thread is to share how is that possible to choose a suitable course and level of study for yourself in one hand and in the other hand whether A respected VO would accept this course based on your previous studies or not!
Once again, this is only my personal finding and I would like ONLY to share with you guys. You may have use other available sources.
For instance, if you did your bachelor degree you may apply for Those level after bachelor degree such as (MSc, Master degree or M.Phil). IT IS NOT ADVISABLE to apply for diploma!
Another example which I've been facing a lot in this forum is specially for those students who has already passed their MSc or Master degree and they want to apply for PGDM (POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA). Friends, just for your information, when a student go for MSc or Master degree in the end of studies, if there is no thesis, they are going to get something like ranking in their level. I expand this a bit. If your Maximum possible mark in the end is over 100,(Each University/College has a different scoring and all not the same)!, in some Universities if you get 85 to 100 you are passed with distinction, if 70 to 84 passed with merit, if 55 to 69 you are just passed only, HERE IS VERY IMPORTANT, if you get below 55 you will get a certificate of PGDM(Post Graduate Diploma) and not anymore Master degree because of your very low performance.
Now why I give you this example is why when you have master degree already you apply again for PGDM which is 1 level lower than masters? It really brings down your chances of getting your Student Visa Permit if respected VO looks for something to reject your case! I know there are cases but common guys, think proper and put yourself in VO's shoes, why someone waste his/her money AGAIN and want to do something similar with lower level??
I really hope this thread helps and give you some lights and make your mind clear cut about this matter. I look forward hearing from you guys.
All the best
