Generic Application Form(IMM0008)

There is a dependant part, I don't have any child, only me and my husband,

Do I need to fill this part? or just remove it?

do not remove it. if it doesn't pertain to you, mark it as N/A. otherwise, your application is at risk of being returned for being incomplete.

Thanks for your reply, but I am a bit confused, for Dependent part, it shows you must include your spouse or common-law parnter? or just mean if I have children coming with me? thanks!

Do you really need to submit that 0008 additional dependant form if there are no kids or other people being sponsored except for a spouse?

I don't need to apply original of additional dependents/ declartion(IMM008DEP), but Generic application form for Canada(IMM 0008) is a must.

if your spouse is your sponsor, they are not listed as a dependant. since you have no children either, you have no dependants and can fill in any related questions with "N/A".

On that updated 0008 form it won't allow you to put in N/A, what do you fill in? N-A or just NA? Any ideas?

I printed it out the forms without answering the questions that didn't apply to my husband and filled in N/A by hand in black pen. CIC had no problems with that.

and for the generic form, there is the option to remove the dependants section from the PDF file. I had 2 dependants to list, but I believe you should remove the section if it doesn't apply. on any other forms, write in N/A.
